Event Recap: Fall into Security, Our Final Cybersecurity Meetup of 2026 @ metafinanz

On 21 October, the Munich cybersecurity community gathered at the metafinanz Tagesbar for the last Cybersecurity Meetup of 2026, hosted by the Security Network Munich together with metafinanz. The evening’s theme: AI and the cyber threats that come with it.

The Orbit System of Cyber Resilience

Axel Kummer, Managing Director at metafinanz, kicked off the evening with the Orbit System of Cyber Resilience. Risks rarely show up alone anymore. They are interdependent and hit the whole organization at once. The Orbit System makes these interactions tangible:

  • Cyber resilience emerges from the interplay of all elements. It creates the conditions for risk minimization, business continuity, asset protection, and the ability to make decisions.
  • BCM and GRC act as the continuous control and stabilization layers that keep the system steady and give it direction.
  • IT, OT, and AI security form the technological foundation, reflecting the convergence of digital, physical, and AI-based value creation.

The takeaway: resilience emerges where technology, organization, people, and AI learn, react, and anticipate together.

From Cyberattack to Existential Crisis: 72 Hours That Decide Your Company’s Fate

Sven-Marcus Drauwe, Expert for Cyber Crisis Management at metafinanz, dove into the hours that matter most. When cyberattacks are the new normal, the first 72 hours can decide whether a company stays in control or spirals into chaos. His session showed how to build crisis resilience through clear roles, decisive structures, and solid decision-making under pressure.

AI Is Already Here. Who’s in Control?

Jonas Feit, Senior AI Governance Expert at metafinanz, tackled a question many organizations are quietly asking themselves. As AI use cases, agents, and tools multiply, unclear responsibilities and limited transparency can lead to compliance gaps, shadow AI, and rising costs. His practical perspective: visibility, ownership, and governance are the foundation for scaling AI. The goal is to combine innovation with robust governance, so AI can scale securely, sustainably, and with measurable business value.

Great talks, even better conversations

After the talks, the real networking began. Over delicious food and drinks, the community kept the discussions going, and the Tagesbar was buzzing.

A big thank you to metafinanz for a fantastic finale to this year’s Cybersecurity Meetup series!
